    AI Fairness Risk Framework

Which fairness risks need attention first?

Shows where to focus fairness effort through a prioritised register of fairness risks.

    A lighthouse. Point at it.

    What it does

You score each risk on severity, likelihood and relevance, check the EU AI Act Annex III categories and assign mitigation actions with owners. It ends in a governance record with assessor, reviewer and approver, exportable for audit.

    Why it matters

This step evaluates historical, social, and domain-specific context to identify plausible fairness risks and affected populations. It grounds the assessment in real-world harm patterns and lifecycle risks, preventing abstract or purely metric-driven interpretations of fairness.

Step 1.3, Contextual Risk & Harm Assessment, in the Diagnosis phase.

    Where it sits

    1. 1.1Mandate & Scope
    2. 1.2Business & Policy
    3. 1.3Context & Risk
    4. 1.4Fairness Gap Confirmation
