Accessibility statement.

validant.ai is built on the belief that the internet must work for everyone, not just for the able-bodied majority. We are committed to making the site at validant.ai and the platform at platform.validant.ai as accessible as we know how, and to improving them continuously based on user feedback, assistive-technology testing and applicable standards.

This statement applies the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), binding from 28 June 2025, and aligns with EN 301 549 V3.2.1 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

The site at validant.ai is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform; the known gaps are listed in the next section and on a published remediation schedule.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML throughout: headings hierarchy, landmarks, lists, tables with headers
• Visible keyboard focus rings on every interactive element
• Colour contrast: body text at AA, large text at AAA wherever possible
• All non-decorative images carry descriptive alt text
• Forms have labels, error messages and accessible names
• The site is responsive and works at 400% zoom without horizontal scroll
• Motion preferences respected: prefers-reduced-motion dampens or disables animation
• No content flashes more than three times per second (Success Criterion 2.3.1)

We are honest about the gaps. The following items are tracked and have remediation windows:

The current conformance assessment is based on:

• Automated scans using axe-core and Lighthouse CI on every deploy
• Manual keyboard-only navigation walk-throughs
• Screen-reader testing with VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android)
• Colour-contrast verification with the WebAIM contrast checker
• User testing rounds with disabled users every six months under a written research protocol

The last formal review was completed on the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

When validant.ai builds something for a customer, we apply WCAG 2.2 AA as a default contractual baseline. Where the customer is itself within the scope of the EAA, we provide the technical artefacts: conformance statements, accessibility conformance reports (ACR/VPAT), test results: needed to satisfy the customer's own obligations.
